born as a sterile tom kit, no one had much hope for little smalls. the runt of his litter, and with no true reason to survive due to the fact that he could not reproduce, his true mother was quick to disown him and leave him to die. by some miracle, he was found on the brink of death by a young molly who's own kittens had died. to this day, he is in disbelief of his own survival, and he doesn't mind the ailings it has left him with. a bobbed tail and a blind eye, he lived on. growing to learn to hunt with a bad sense of balance and a slight limp in his step, smalls has adjusted to his horrible depth perception.

lilly raised him on her own for a short while before meeting another she-cat, and despite having been abandoned, in the end smalls was raised happily by a young couple of sweethearts who, still, to this day would take him in no matter what. smalls left home only recently, and since then has been wandering the no clan territories, constantly curious about the clans and what they were like.

not to be confused with the untainted trait, smalls has this way of feeling innocent and in need of protection. his bright personality gives off a feeling of childishness, even though its not really the case. smalls is well educated on the crude ways of the world around him, yet he has found ways to ignore it, to see past it.

[ intelligent ]
smalls is truly a problem solver. a quick thinker in the field, he uses common sense taught to him by his mother to examine situations and find the best way out if it happens to be of possible danger to him. the xxy, despite his age, is always willing to learn new things, and since he lacks a rank he is interested in everything. herbs, battle moves, strategies, he loves to listen and observe.

[ quiet ]
an introvert at his best, however, the tortie likes to stay off the radar. he doesn't like getting in trouble, nor does he like badgering others. unlike most kits and apprentices who are robust and obnoxious, smalls is a polite being who would much rather listen than to talk with others, a good trait and a bad one for someone in his position.

[ sweetheart ]
aware that everyone struggles, smalls is left with a distinct kindness. with a honeyed smile and those big eye's you could lose yourself in, he seems like a very open, very happy character. the pleasant kind of cat you'd like to spend time with, this tiny kitten gives off an all around good-natured vibe when you meet him.

[ scaredy cat ]
the type to jump at shadows and sweat over scary stories weeks after being told them, this young apprentice isn't one to enjoy spooky natured things. with many fears, including large, open expanses of deep water- who knows whats in that stuff?- thunderstorms, strangers, dogs, humans, or anything he doesn't know about really. he's a very jumpy child.

gorgeous as he was, it didn't stop him from being abandoned. a small creature, thin and petite, smalls can often be confused with a girl gender-wise, which never bothers him due to his identity being more blurred than the average male. his pale cream fur is blotched by chocolate fur which darkens and lightens depending on where the markings are. cream tabby markings also patch along with them, making the mosaic cat look like his appearance fits his odd genetic anomaly. with such a thin, pretty form, and his little nub tail, you'd expect a pretty face. and you get one, too. like a porcelain doll, smalls has big eyes, and even though one is blue with blindness, the other is a very desirable shade of hazel, a blue ringed with green, an intense match. his small pink nose and ears only fit the theme of adorableness that is his entire existence. it's hard to let the blind eye, notched ear, and nub tail bother you when you see him smiling.
