When Spottedstar was born he was an only child to an older couple by the names of Honeypuddle and Frecklelegs. The two have been trying for a child for what seemed to be moons and was ecstatic when their son was born. His mother, Honeypuddle, in particular was overly affectionate and fussed over her son every waking moment. Spottedstar ( Spottedkit at the time ) was not fond of this constant attention and would spend a lot of time outside the nursery. He had no denmates so he spent most of his kithood in constant boredom.
As his fourth moon of life passed by he had enough of being cooped up in the camp and was able to sneak out into the open territory. He had only traveled three fox lengths when a returning hunting patrol caught him and escorted him back to camp. From that day on the trouble didn’t stop. He attempted more escapes but all were foiled quickly. Spottedkit also bullied his new denmates since the day they first opened their eyes. Honeypuddle was very concerned for her son, she even went to Tawnystar, the leader at the time, and requested a disciplined mentor to work Spottedkit out of his behavior in his apprenticeship.
She agreed and said that she would give Spottedkit a very experienced mentor. Honeypuddle was gracious of her leader and shared the news with her mate. He was relieved to hear that his son will be mended out of his devious ways and into a fine warrior. And once Spottedkit hit his sixth moon, he was dubbed Spottedpaw and Tawnystar gave him the honor of being her own apprentice. He was in shock that his own leader would mentor him and wished to start his training right away.
[ APPRENTICESHIP ]
Spottedpaw first moons as an apprentice were fairly uneventful. Most of his days were spent learning the scents of the other Clans and their territory, as well as hunting and battle training. Doing the regular deeds such as cleaning the elder’s bedding and so forth. His mind set seemed to have changed drastically, he was no longer one who would always find trouble but now was motivated to do anything his mentor threw at him and with a grin.
He steered away from any sort of trouble he could find himself in but often argued with other apprentices at the gatherings. Nothing serious though, as no claws were drawn. And soon enough he was ready to be a warrior after passing his hunting assessment with flying colors. Tawnystar gave him the name Spottedear, in homage to the tom’s rather large ears. His parents couldn’t be prouder.
[ WARRIOR ]
He first couple seasons of being a warrior were simple. He hunted for his clan, and fought when it was necessary. Spottedear also spend that time training an apprentice who would easily graduate to being a warrior. All was well until tragedy strikes.
The deputy at the time, Pikeleap, was terribly injured in a border dispute with a Willowclan patrol. His leg was terribly mangled and the medicine cat advised him to retire early since there was no chance of his leg healing properly. Pikeleap was devastated and resigned with a heavy heart. But the clan must continue on, so Tawnystar must chose a new deputy before sundown. However she quickly made up her mind, she called Spottedear to be the next deputy and he agreed right away.
His role of deputy did not last long however. Tawnystar has been riddled with age, her muzzle was teeming with gray hairs and her body has become extremely frail. Once greencough got a hold of her it was all over. The illness racked her body will terrible pain and she knew that she would not live, not this time. As Tawnystar breathed her last she told Spottedear that she knew he would be a great leader, and that she was proud of him.
Spottedear was devastated. He spent two days huddled next to her body, his face dug deeply in her fur. Spottedear refused to eat, to drink, even to sleep. The medicine cat had to drag him away from Tawnystar's body so the elder's could bury her, though he fought back fiercely to stay near her. His body was too weak however from the lack of sleep and nourishment that he could barley stand.
The medicine cat knew that he must receive his lives right away and brought along several warriors to help guide Spottedear to the Star pool. After receiving his lives he was now known as Spottedstar, the new leader of Fogclan. Soon after his return his found out his mother has died from the same bought of greencough that had killed Tawnystar. He was once again thrown into depression, it took several more days before he fully recovered. His father however moved on quickly and soon took on another mate. Spottedstar was not happy with his decision to move on so quickly and will forgive him for his actions.

Spottedstar is a mixed breed but has the features of an Oriental Shorthair. His ears are very large which allows him to hear exceptionally well, his eyes are also sharp. This cat is also skinny and can not keep much fat on his body but this allows him to quick on his paws. Spottedstar is known to be a cat that lives for the sake of their clan. Everything he does is for the future of Fogclan and entrusts its safety. Whatever crosses his clan will face his wrath. He is to the point, very serious and doesn’t allow anyone to push him around.

It is difficult to change this cat’s mind and when someone attempts to, Spottedstar will not exactly take it immediately. He will often run it through his mind, rethinking and reevaluating. He is not known for his intelligence but he still thinks rationally. At a younger age he didn’t really have a mind of his own. His mind only consisted of ways to serve his clan. Even as leader he still puts Fogclan in front of everything else.

Spottedstar is a little ball of fire, he will spark up at insults and lashes out at those who anger him even if it's over the skinniest of mice. His is fairly emotional, actually over emotional. When he’s angry, he’ll pounce into action. When he’s upset he’ll go into a depression, he does not do well at the death of close friends or family. Despite his thorny appearance he is pretty affectionate but not exactly in the finest of ways. Although it may seem like a strength, Spottedstar goes to great lengths to strengthen Fogclan. The tom will do even the treacherous of things if he thinks it will aid his clan.

sʜᴏʀᴛ ᴅᴇsᴄʀɪᴘᴛɪᴏɴ: A lithe gray tom with darker spots along his body, has unusually large ears.
ʟᴏɴɢ ᴅᴇsᴄʀɪᴘᴛɪᴏɴ: Spottedstar is an Oriental Shorthair, a breed known for its triangular face, large ears, and skinny structure. His body is primarily white with a wave of a light grey. The light grey is covered in two different shades of spots that splotch around the lower half of his body. His face is nearly split down the middle with grey with several darker shades around his face. Spottedstar has a light pink nose and pawpads. The insides of his ears are pink as well. Spottedstar's eyes are a very dark brown but it looks black to most.
ʙᴜɪʟᴅ: Very skinny with a small amount of muscle definition, never seems to gain weight.
ғᴜʀ: Smooth and tightly packed together, perfectly forms his body.
ᴇʏᴇs: Fairly dark, near black (brown-ish).
